Managing Artistic Director

C. Lynn Kinkade was
named Managing Artistic Director of Civic Theatre in April 2006.
Lynn holds a BA in theatre and drama from Indiana University, and
has worked with theatre groups in Indianapolis, Bloomington, IN,
Norwalk, CT, New York City, and the Republic of Vietnam over the
past 45 years as an actor, director, producer, playwright, designer
and technical worker.
In Evansville, Lynn
co-founded Actors’ Playhouse, and directed plays with the group such
as Danny and the Deep Blue Sea, Tape, and An Empty Plate
in the Café du Grande Boeuf. He has appeared on the Civic
Theatre stage as Frog in Catfish Moon and Robert in Proof.
He has also worked with the Repertory People of Evansville and the
River’s Bend Playhouse in Evansville. He played Bill Clay in the
film Novem that was produced locally by Bradley David
Productions, and has worked locally on independent theatre and film
projects. In early 2006, he co-chaired a creative work group in
which class members explored aspects of acting, improv, dance, music
and movement.

Chris Tyner is an
Evansville native that has been active in community theatre for over
20 years. A 1990 graduate of North High School, he attended both
Ball State University and the University of Evansville and performed
professionally in Cocoa Beach, Florida and around the Tri-State. He
is a founding member of three tri-state musical programs. He
appeared as "Harold Hill" in the first EVSC Summer Musical, The
Music Man in 1989 and "Cornelius Hackl" in Hello Dolly
the following year. In Warrick county, Chris has been the
choreographer for the WCSC Summer Musicals since the inception of
the program in 1997, most recently choreographing Cats in
2006. Chris also appeared as "Will" in Oklahoma for the first
Henderson Community Theatre Musical production, which he then went
on to direct their next two productions, Hello Dolly and
Anything Goes. Chris made his Civic Theatre debut in The
World Goes 'Round in 1995 and since then has performed the
duties of Choreographer, Director, Technical Director, Scenic
Designer, and performer in over 70 productions around the tri-state,
and has most recently been the Drama Director for his Alma-mater,
North High School for the past six years. Chris has been a private
performance instructor since 2003 and now leads Civic Theatre's
NEXTWAVE Program into the new millennium.

Technical Director
Charles Julius

Charles Julius began his theatrical career in 1972 after graduating
from high school in Enid, Oklahoma. Charles holds a MA in Dramatic
Arts from Emporia State University and over the past 24 years has
been the Technical Director for the Western Arkansas Ballet,
Artist-In-Education for the Arkansas Arts Council,
Artist-In-Residence at Westmark Community College, Designer/TD for
Theatre Tulsa Inc., Technical Director for the Henderson Fine Arts
Center, and Shop Foreman for the Emporia Summer Rep Company for two
seasons. Charles has also produced freelance designs for numerous
theatre groups including American Indian Theatre Company, King
Operas House Players, Ft Smith Little Theatre, Duncan Community
Theater, Henderson Community Theater, and the Warrick County Summer
Musical. Charles has been the Technical Director for Civic Theatre
since 2000.
Most inspiring person: "My dad, who taught me how to use tools and,
at the age of 5, taught me that I could have anything I wanted if I
could make it myself. Isn't that what technical theatre is all
