Romeo and Juliet Auditions
AUDITIONS FOR THE OTHER VOICES SUMMER SHOW, "ALMOST, MAINE." Auditions for "Almost, Maine," by John Cariani, will be held at the theatre, Tuesday, May 27 and Wednesday, May 28, beginning at 6:30pm, and continuing until all have had the chance to read. Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. This is the second installment in our "Other Voices" summer show, featuring plays that are a little offbeat or quirky. This is a romantic comedy, set in the dead of winter in northern Maine (the perfect summer show!) with 8 scenes of two people each, and one scene with three. There are a total of 20 characters, but the play is designed for four actors (two men, two women), with doubling. However, I may use more than 4 actors, so there is a potential for 20 people (10 women, 10 men) to be cast in this production. Age range: pretty loose, could be from 20s to 40s. Scripts are available in the theatre office, and can be checked out for one week, with a deposit of $10. Rehearsals will begin June 2, and the performances are July 11, 12, 18, 19 and 20.
